Take That - Wetten Dass Munich

Months ago, we took the risk to book flights and a hotel for Munich... Took the risk, since it was all just a rumour. But luckily a few weeks ago, Howard's DJ set in Pacha was confirmed and a day later, Take That's appearance in the German show Wetten Dass as well. They were 2 happy little kids!

Only 2 days before we would leave for Munich, word got round about dates and hours of TT in the neighbourhood of Cologne and Frankfurt... During these performances at radiostations, we were already in Munich, exploring...

At the Olympiahalle, we got someone to tell them were TT would arrive. They tried to figure out which 5-star hotel they would be staying at, without much luck...

On Friday, we went to the Olympiahalle again, to have another look and than to the airport. That's were we saw Anna and Ivy again, the girls we met in Amsterdam. Steffi and her boyfriend Alex were there as well. Together we waited for hours, hoping to see Take That arrive, without any luck... The question rose if maybe they flew privatly again? Which would have been a shame, since there were only 10 fans at the airport...

News from Berlin had arrived that Take That had taken a flight and had already arrived in Munich, so we gave up our wait and went back to searching their hotel... Not a simple assignment this time... We were all concentrating on the wrong hotel, when all of the sudden, Steffi called Nathalie saying that TT had arrived at the Wetten Dass studios, for rehearsals.
Stupid ZDF security send us ( again we were only 12 fans there) way and made sure we couldn't even see a glimpse of the lads. The only thins we were able to see, were the vans leaving. Nathalie could recognize Howard in the van though.

Only one car tried to follow the van and promised to let us know which hotel they would end up at. They didn't let us know, but no worries, we found out anyway (Thank you Steffi for waking us up!!) We were already in bed, but woke up immediately and went straight to the hotelbar. On the way they met Steffi and Alex...
We arrived just in time to see Jason leave the bar. A few minutes later, Gary left as well. This already made our day!

Saturday we went back to the hotel really early, to find out that they were not fully booked that night... All of us booked a room and sat down in the lobby.
We had seen the schedule for the day, but could never read it well, only thing we could figure out is that the whole day, they would be doing interviews.
Alex was our spy for the weekend and he had a chat with some random Brit and with Mark. That way we got confirmation that they would spend another night at the hotel.

We saw them all passing a few times (never enough though), during that day and had a great chat with Jason's Bunny! She was really funny!
When they finally left to go to the show, we were all happy, since finally we could take a shower and rest a bit. We all met up again in the bar.
Nathalie was there the first, with two old friends and took a reserved table. The waiter told them they could stay untill 10pm, than they had to give up the table again. Nathalie had a feeling it was TT's table and so told everyone to be in the bar at 10pm the latest...

After the show, Gary and James came in to see if their table was free. They left immediately though. Than we had to leave the table. When Nathalie took the lift to go up to her room, she saw James and told him their table was free. He mumbled something about not needing a table, but only a few minutes later, they arrived again and sat down... at our table!!!!

Gary, Jason and Mark sat in the bar, with James and the Universal people. When Steffi went outside to smoke, Mark spoke to her and told them Howard would start DJing at 1 and that he unfortunately could not go to Pacha, since he had an early flight.

At 12.30 Steffi, Alex, the blond girl, Julia, Els and Nathalie left in a cab for Pacha. They met up again with Micha an Thomas and got in all 8 (only 4 were onthe guestlist)! What a great party!!! DJ Howard Donald is amazing, and Jason is an amazingly sexy animal!! You could tell Howard was really concentrated, but at the same time was really enjoying it... and so were we!

Jason first appeared in the VIP room, but it seemed that he couldn't really do his thing, since a girl was always putting her arms around him. He didn't seem to like it that much, neither did James! hahaha.

Jason than joined Howard in the DJ booth and danced away there. The view was amazing and the Belgian and German partypeople wished it would never end. Jason left after about one hour, while Howard finished his set. His last mix was the Greatest Day mix... EXCELLENT!!

A quick sprint to the taxi's and than just in time back at the hotel to see Howard arrive again. Nathalie was the only one standing outside when Howard got out of the cab, but frooze completely and didn't have the guts to ask him for a pic... Shame...

Finally we could go to bed for a real short night... At 7 we got up again, went downstairs to check out and at that moment saw Mark leaving the hotel. He made our day by saying hello to us.

We than said goodbye to our new German friends and left for the airport. Hoping to still see Jason there since he was on the 11.20 flight. But no such luck, since we had a flight at 11 and were boarding by the time Jason only left the hotel.

It was an amzing 4 days filled with Take That, laughter, drinks and waiting. We didn't sleep a lot, but it was all worth it!!!

Thank you all, for making this one of the greates weekends of all!

Mooi Weer De Leeuw - Almere

Early Saturday morning, after a short night, the horrors of an alarm clock... But the horror was for a good cause: Take That's appearance in a Dutch show.

So Sofie, Tamara and Nathalie left at 6.15 am to pick up Lindsy and Els. The five of them started the party in the car, who was baptised to 'Toffetantemobiel' by Lindsy... They arrived at Schiphol at 8.30 am to find out that they did not miss a thing yet!
The waiting had started and some random driver made it interesting immediately: he kept up a sign for 'Mike Stevens'... They ofcourse kept their eye on this man and followed him to his passengers, only to see tha backside of his passenger and think it was not Take That's musical director. (while posting the blog, Nathalie has figured out that it must have been Mike Stevens anyway, since the driver has been seen by her on a picture taken hours later of Mark Owen arriving and this driver walking right next to him. And she saw Mike leaving the hotel on Sunday morning as well).

More and more fans appeared at gate 1 and finally got rewarded for their patience. James came out, so all the cameras came out as well! Gary was the first to appear and the first to dissapear, followed by Howard. Jason bumped into a wall of fans as did Mark. Both of them took some more time to 'meet and greet'...

They were escorted to their 'A-team like van' and drove off. Sofie, Els en Nathalie ran to go pay the parking and faught with the machine, while Lindsy and Tamara already made their way to the car. Nathalie jumped behind the wheel and hurried to the studios. They saw the two vans (the second one for the management and I guess Liz the hair and make-up artist) but weren't able to catch up in time and missed their entrance.

At the studios, a big tent was placed with a TV inside, so the fans outside could follow the recordings. What a nice gesture, especially since it was raining!
Paul had a laugh with the two Dutch fanclubs, with the fans outside and then got on with the rest of the show.

By the time Take That was on, the four crazy Belgians left in the cold (Lindsy had one a ticket) were waiting in the car... Why in the car you ask? Well, you better just don't ask!
Arrived in Amsterdam and waited around hoping to see them again. Unfortunately James told all the fans there was no use in waiting, Take That would not go anywhere anymore... So they went of for dinner ourselves and after passing by the hotel once more, went to their own 5 star hotel. They pampered themselves with long hot showers, candy and some jenever and had an early night, since the horror of the alarm clock would wake them again very early!

At 6 am, they got up. Els took a shower, while the other 3 (Lindsy went back to Belgium after the show) tried to figure out how that bloody 'teletekst' works in the Netherlands. Don't ask them how they did it, but they managed to find the flights to Zurich... Sofie was still in the shower, but was told to hurry up. Nathalie and Tamara than had a quick wash in the bathroom and changed, since they all thought they were running late to see Take That leave the hotel.

So at 6.45 they were at the hotel, the same time 2 German fans showed up. A few minutes later 2 others followed as well and even more later some Dutch fans as well. Finally at 8.15 the vans arrived and the nerves could grow bigger. James came out, so did Liz and Jonathan, their manager.

Mark was the first one to come out in the sunshine and still seemed slightly drunk. Than there was Gary, who took the time to go on a picture with a Dutch fan. Right after him was Howard, who dissapeared in the van quite fast... He had sunglasses on and gave the impression he had been at Marks party. Jason was the last to show off his beautiful self. He was proud of his Amsterdam sweater, was all smiley and listened very carefully to Judith, the lovely German girl who asked him to look her way for the picture she was about to take of him and ................ NATHALIE!!
Nathalies first ever picture with a member of the almighty Take That!

(Thank you James, for allowing ;-) )

Than they were off to face probably a huge bunch of fans at Schiphol again.

For the Belgians, it had been good and crazy enough. They went back to the hotel, to have breakfast in style. And Nathalie had her shower (which she needed badly after being sick (literally) of relief). Check out, a last sigh and then in the car, for a very karaokestyle drive home...

What a weekend, what an adventure!!!

Mooi Weer De Leeuw - next Saturday!

Preparations are taking place: arranging a meeting place, warm clothes, a picknick, and a full tank...
BECAUSE:

Take That will be in a show in The Netherlands this Saturday: Mooi Weer De Leeuw. Tickets are not available anymore, which is a shame! This means it is another show where only a few fans will be in the studio! There were 10 tickets that were given away, of which 3 were given to random members of the Dutch Forum. The other tickets were for the mods and Paris Contest Winners. So only 10 fans will be able to see Take That... Luckily Belgium will be represented as well, since 1 Belgian fan won a ticket through the forum!

We are also lucky enough to be able to watch the show from outside the studios, because they will be putting screens outside.

This time, Nathalie and Els will not be going on an adventure alone: Sofie and Tamara will be joining them!
We will be leaving early and getting home really late...
Keep your fingers crossed that we will be able to get a glimpse of our favourite band!!!

Paul de Leeuw announced Take That would be coming in his blog, only he said 'Take That will be coming to the show again, only you never know for sure untill they were here'...

Here's a copy of his blog (in Dutch):Blog van vrijdag 27 februari

vrijdag, 15:53 OP NAAR DE 80/DEELZOVEEL

Verder alles prima in orde. Ga vanavond wel uit eten maar weet dat een heerlijk mootje vis prima zal smaken...

Tot laterrrrr!!!

En morgen wordt het weer een hele leuke MWDL , denk ik!
